Former Baylor standout Maggie Montoya, representing Roots Running Project, placed fourth in the women's 5,000-meter race in 15:38.53 at the KT Tape St. George Showdown at Desert Hills High in St. George, Utah. Montoya, competing at 2,700 feet elevation, just missed eclipsing her sea-level personal best of 15:38.21 from May 2019 at the USATF Distance Classic at Occidental College in California.
